Meet Our Team
In today’s world where corporates are prioritising automation over personal service, here at Whitworth Law we like to be different. We are a small friendly highly experienced team who prioritise communication and approachability over all else.
DAVID WHITWORTH
After studying classics at Oxford, David started his legal career in London followed by stints in Cheltenham and Cirencester. He settled in Bath over 17 years ago and worked for many years at Mowbray Woodwards where he was head of the Wills, Trusts and probate department.
In 2021 David decided to set up his own firm Whitworth Law, which has since gained an excellent reputation. David has a wealth of experience in Inheritance Tax planning, complex Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and administering estates and applying for Grants of Probate.
David is a fully qualified member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an international body of lawyers, accountants and other professionals who are specialists in inheritance and succession planning. David is also a member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers which is a national association of solicitors who specialise in older client law and of the Law Society’s Private Client Section.
Outside of work David is a passionate conservationist, gardener, hen and beekeeper, traveller, historian and walker – the latter ideally with a dog at heel (or not!)
