LASTING POWERS OF ATTORNEY

Why do I need a Lasting Power of Attorney?

Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) allow you to choose someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you lack the mental capacity to make decisions for yourself.

An LPA is important because it helps ensure your that your financial affairs will be looked after and someone you trust may make decisions about your healthcare and wellbeing.

Did you know that your spouse will not automatically be able to make decisions about your finances or your healthcare if there comes a time when you can’t make those decisions yourself? Without an LPA your husband or wife won’t have the authority.
