David started out doing Classics at Trinity College, Oxford, before studying at the College of Law in London. He worked in London, Cheltenham and Cirencester before settling in Bath.
Formerly of Mowbray Woodwards, David is the only solicitor in Bath given a Band 1 ranking in Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2020 & 2021 for his work in Private Wealth Law.
- Chambers spoke to a professional adviser, as part of their research, who said: “I have not come across any lawyers with better knowledge than David in that field.”
- A client said he was: “excellent as a professional person, and his strength was explaining matters in a plain understandable English rather than just legal terms.”
David is a fully qualified member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an international body of lawyers, accountants and other professionals who are specialists in inheritance and succession planning.
David is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) which is a national association of solicitors who specialise in older client law.
In appropriate circumstances David works with and refers work to local solicitors who are specialists in other areas of law.
Outside of work David is a passionate conservationist, gardener, hen and beekeeper, traveller, cricketer, historian and walker – the latter ideally with a dog at heel.
